Jan Crouch Obituary

Jan Crouch, the religious broadcaster and co-founder of the Trinity Broadcasting Network, died May 31 following a massive stroke. She was 78.

The Crouch family released a statement on the network’s website.

“Laurie and I have just watched the transition of our precious Mother from this world to the next; watched her step into the presence of Jesus and into her heavenly reward. Jan Crouch, known around the world as Momma Jan, has gone home,” the statement said.

“Those who battled for the Kingdom of God knew her as a fighter – someone who didn’t give up, someone who fought relentlessly” to spread the Gospel message worldwide, the statement continued.

In 1973, Crouch co-founded TBN along with her late husband, Paul Crouch, and Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker. A year later, the network bought its first television station, KLXA-TV, now KTBN-TV in southern California, and began distributing its religious programs through cable television in 1978.

I can remember watching TBN in our trailer in 1985 in my living room. I was very ill and couldn't go to church. You and Paul ministered and brought the gospel to so many shut ins. I know you are dancing in glory with Paul and all who have gone on before you. Rest In Paradise Jan and Paul.

It's crazy. I grew up with TBN always playing in the background.. Paul and Jan Crouch were household names. Now they both are with our Father! I lost my mother in the latter part of 2016 and I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone but PRAISE GOD they are resting in His care until that great day!!!
Prayers still for the family and we are so grateful to have been touched by Jan and Paul.

Earth has lost two beautiful soulwinning vessels with Mr. Paul and Now Mrs. Jan (my tears flow as I type). Thank you for all of the Love and support you have given to mankind. I am soooo greatful that the Lord directed me to be a partner of TBN because many times over I have seen the fruits of my giving. Because of Mrs. Jan and her loving spouse the world will never be the same. We will all miss their loving touch. We know they are Welcomed into heaven for greater rewards.
Very respectfully,
Theresa L. Gaines ( Tallahassee, Florida)

Dearest Jan, you've made IT !!
HE is RISEN >> HE is Risen, indeed !!!
I know you miss Paul dearly. We met you and Paul when you brought TBN to Tucson in 1986...
We toured with Paul, Matt and Laurie for the 40th celebration of Israel in May 1988... you couldn't make the trip ! John Jacob & the Power Team was there, with I my daughter Nicole, who was just baptized and was 12 years old. We are from Tucson and found Laurie was also and attended Sabino High School !!!
Nicole is now 40, and stills serves the LORD in part from you and Paul. I still cherish a picture Paul took with in front on the Jerusalem Hilton...
Praise the Lord !!! I shall see you soon Dear sister!
Matt and Laurie are doing a great job !!
Say "hi" to Paul for me... Hasta la Vista !!
Enjoy this beautiful Resurection Day !!!

An incredible lady, sensitive and obedient to the Holy Spirits nudgings and promptings. Both Paul and Jan were faithful to their conjoint vision, reaching millions of souls for the Kingdom, preluding and seeding a Cloud, soon bursting with Covenant's miraculous, while Heaven and earth merge and converge. "And their works do follow them...." Dr. Paul Gervais

Jan Crouch, a powerful woman and servant of the Lord! I can hear the Lord saying, well done my good and faithful servant...She not only left a Legacy for her family but for the world; a model example of a loving Christian who loved the Lord and His people. As longs as this world exists, she and Paul will live on because of their lives; a legacy of love and servant-hood to the world. Yes, a great loss to the Christian World, but a true Celebration of Life on this earth and eternal life...Praying peace and strength for the family and that they will continue on...and do greater things in the Name of JESUS!

Sweet Jan Crouch. I lived in Costa Mesa Ca from 1980-2000. TBN was my home away from home. My 10 yr. old son prayed the prayer of salvation with you. He is now 37 yrs old and serving the LORD JESUS. I have been so inspired by these two over the years, they loved Jesus with all their hearts and it showed, I met Paul Crouch, Sr. in 1995 at TBN in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He actually took time out of his busy schedule to sit down and talk to me and my mom, brother and wife and take us on a tour of the facility there, you could feel the presence of the Lord in that man! Praise God for His work in these two Good and FAITHFUL servants and Great is their Reward! May God continue to bless this awesome ministry. R. Johnston Jacksonville,Fl
