Angela Stacy Obituary

STACY - Angela Lynn, was born on May 25, 1970, in Tulsa and died here on November 1, 2008. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Hannah Stacy, age 13, and Sydney Stacy, age 7. A graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and the University of Tulsa, Angie taught girls' P.E. for ten years in the Union Schools after which she qualified at the age of 34 for the Tulsa Police Academy and served proudly as a Tulsa Police Officer from 2004 until her death. She was a patrol officer and truly loved her job. Her special interest in law enforcement arose in part out of her concern for the protection of children. Angie is also survived by: her parents, Jim and Laurie Green; her brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Shannon Green; her sister and brother-in-law, Allie and Daniel Aitken; Jim Stacy, the father of Hannah and Sydney; and by her grandmothers, Lois Gatchell and Mary Lou Green. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 7 at 2 p.m., at All Souls Unitarian Church, 2952 S. Peoria. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to be made in Angie's memory to the Child Abuse Network, the Animal Rescue Foundation, or to the charity of your choice. Jim and Family,
You know my thoughts and my heart will be focused on the healing that your girls, Angie's family and you so deserve. Your friends will be of great support during the next weeks and months. Please know that Jarman Elementary will be there to support Sydney in any way we can. You are a great father and the girls are so fortunate to have you in their life. My best to you and your extended family.

I was very saddened to hear about her passing. She was someone that really lived every day to the fullest. While I know that words are only a small gesture of support, I want you to know that her spirit has touched many people's lives as it has mine. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
