Buddie Maxwell Obituary

MAXWELL -- Buddie, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on October 4, 2005. He was born in Spiro, OK on August 5, 1920. Survived by: his wife of 62 years, Eula Mae Maxwell; daughters, Linda Cates and husband, Ray of Tulsa, Patty Davis and husband, John of Houston, TX; and granddaughter, Tanya Fore and husband, Eric of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and brother, John Maxwell, Jr. of Stigler, OK. Buddie retired in 1978 after 32 years with Southwestern Bell. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a regular contributor to and supporter of the Red Cross. After retiring, Buddie enjoyed his time at Grand Lake and he had a love of classic automobiles. In spite of retirement, Buddie played a major role in the raising of his granddaughter, Tanya. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend. His smile, humor and warmth will be missed by many. Service will be held at Moore's Southlawn, Saturday, October 8, at 10 a.m. Reverend Daniel Phillips will officiate. It was a pleasure, that I got to met Mr. Maxwell, he had a very good sense of humor, and his wife is a very nice person, as well as his daughter Linda.
