Frances Leroux Obituary

LEROUX -- Frances Fagan, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2006, in Bartlesville, after a long and productive life. Born in Depot, TX, in 1910. She married W.E. (Ed) Leroux in Ardmore, OK, in 1938. After many moves driven by the oil business, they settled in Tulsa. Ed was Partner in Sullivan and Leroux, until his death in 1974. In her day, Mrs. Leroux was a Driver for Sunnyside School, active in St. Mary's parish, a proud parent supporting Monte Casino and Cascia Hall graduates, a Kelley High School Booster Club member, and a Lady of the Holy Sepulcher. As a member of the St. John Hospital Auxiliary, she spent hundreds of hours volunteering at the hospital gift shop, and was a steady knitter of nursery caps and booties. Frances stitched her family many skating outfits, recital costumes, prom dresses and later knitted baby blankets for her grandchildren. Up to the time of her death, her hands were busy with needlepoint. She will be missed by her sons, Steve (Diane), and Hank; her daughters, Elaine Lucas, Mary (Mike) Bellamy, Kathleen (Jim) Burney and Martha (Terry) Clark. "Meemaw" is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, with more on the way. Frances will be remembered by family and friends for her wit, strength and generosity. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the Church of St. Mary's, Tulsa, and interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to Elder Care, 1223 Swan Dr., Bartlesville, OK 74006, or to the charity of choice. Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Leroux are being directed by The Arnold Moore Funeral Service of Bartlesville, (918) 336-2424 and the Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel of Tulsa.
