To Patty and Buddy:
Although it is hard to lose a parent in death, it is much easier when we know that our loved parent is now with the Lord and not suffering anymore. What a comfort that must be to you - to know that both your parents are in Heaven with the Lord. We will always remember your Dad and the many times he and your Mom came to Missouri when we were able to be there. We love you.

When I saw the picture and name I immediately know that it was the meat man from Poole's grocery. I walked there many, many times as a little girl and looked up to see Jack from the tall glass meat counter. He was always so nice to me, and we always good great meat from him. I'm 58 so you know it was a long time ago, but I still remember that he was part of my growing up in what is now called the Whittier-Kendall Neighborhood.
