Jerry Puckett, MD, age 81, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024. He was born in Arkansas on August 19, 1943 and raised in the town of Mena.
Jerry practiced as an Otolaryngologist for 41 years with Warren Clinic. Before his medical practice, he practiced Dentistry and then joined the US Army in which he served as Captain. After the US Army, he immediately entered Medical School and then began his career as a Head and Neck Surgeon in Tulsa.
In 2013 he married Nanci and together they loved and enjoyed their blended family of Jerry's children, Wes (Amy) Puckett and Barrie Puckett, and Nanci's son, Travis Short and their grandchildren, Elle, Jack, Peyton, and Hudson.
He will be dearly missed by many.
Services will be on Friday, October 18 at 11:00am, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 3612 East 91st Street Tulsa, OK.

Wes and I are planning to having our own Celebration of Life for our Dad in 6 months or so. There´s so much more that Dad experienced and accomplished in the 70 years prior to his latest marriage. My Mom shared innumerable memories with me of the decade she was with my Dad. Wes´ Mom celebrated three decades of life events with our Dad and was an integral part of my life during my formative years. I will miss Dad´s beautiful whistle & infectious laugh. I am proud to proclaim that I knew Jerry Hanson Puckett DDS, MD longer than anyone and am beyond grateful for his influence in my life.

I worked with Dr Puckett in surgery many years at Springer and Natalie PACU! We had many great times and memories!! He was always humming!! My thoughts and prayers for the family!!

I worked with Dr.Puckett for a long time at Saint Francis Natalie. He was always a pleasure to work with. He was always kind to his patients and staff.He will be missed.

I have wonderful memories of working with Dr. Puckett during his early years at Springer Clinic. I worked for him for 16 years. He was a fair boss, kind and generous, with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a tremendous positive influence in my life.

I have so many wonderful memories of Jerry. We worked together for many years. As I put his patients to sleep and he operated on them we had a lot of time to talk about everything. So many laughs, So many stories So many great memories. My condolences to Nancy, Wes , Barrie and families.
