Dr. Jimmy Charles

MARTIN - Dr. Jimmy Charles, M.D., born April 13, 1945, in Henryetta, OK, to JC and Dorothy Martin passed away September 11, 2008, after a tough fight with cancer. A very caring Board Certified Family Physician, he practiced medicine in Cushing and Tulsa. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and doctor. He was loved by all and made an impact on everyone he met. He was preceded in death by: his son, Bryan and his father, JC. He is survived by: his wife, Pam; daughter, Amy Martin of Lee's Summit, MO; son, Jason Martin and wife Ginny of Broken Arrow; son, Cayne Martin of Tulsa; daughter, Laura Petrozza and husband Chad of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Lindsey Barefoot and Whitney Poulos of Tulsa; grandchildren, Ty and Laci Martin, Alice and Bella Barefoot, Austin Kern, Lexi and Kylie Petrozza; his mother, Dorothy Martin; sister, Cecelia McMahan; brother, Fred Martin; Judy Martin, mother of Bryan, Amy, and Jason; Carla Brittenham, mother of Cayne. He was truly a unique individual whose humor and zest for life will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to standup2cancer.org or stjude.org.
