I worked with Lee for many years at OMRF. He was certainly a unique individual - a very "absent minded professor." I learned a lot of things from Lee. Most of them had nothing to do with science.

I knew Lee as a friend and colleague at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City. We also attended the same church together for a while. He was a very kind person, an interesting conversationalist, and was involved in continuous learning about his Christian faith.

J Lee and I were were schoolmates at Lanier, Wilson and Rogers. I regret that since we graduated in 1950 I saw him only once but I remember His wit and intellect that made him one of my favorite friends. God Bless his wife Carol.
