It was with such saddness that I was informed of Jody's passing. My deepest sympathy to her family and her many, many friends across the country. If you ever met Jody, you would never forget her! Tho it had been a number of years since we'd had contact, re-seeing her at our "band reunions" was one of my highlights. She always seemed to have that wonderful "spirit" about her. We all will truly miss that.

Jody was a dear friend and a fishing buddy. We went on many exciting fly fishing and bass fishing trips. I will miss her dearly. Tulsa has lost a legend, but heaven has gained a wonderful saint!

She was the Band Queen and older than me thus she was in the A-group. I have fond memories of high school and the people who made it memorable...Jody was one. So sorry.

Our condolences to Jody's family and co-workers. We were so sad to hear of Jody's passing. Jody was our neighbor for several years on 19th Street. She was the kindest, most generous, and most fun-loving person we ever met. Jody taught me about cooking and about love, and how to enjoy life to the full. Jack and I will never forget her many kindnesses to us and to our family.
Jody, may our good Lord welcome you to the Heavenly Banquet with joy. And relax; it's been catered already! We love you, and you will be remembered in prayer.

Jody lived next door to my Parents. She not only was their neighbor but a best friend and stabilizing force for my parents and our family. She was with us for all of our family's most cherished events. We truly loved her and will miss her.

I am so sad that I have just learned of Jody`s death. I would have been in Tulsa to give her family a hug. We were pledge sisters at OSU and that is how it all began. From there Mother,(Margaret) and Bob Clark and Kent and Lisa Hughes became her fans as well as I. I remember she came to cater a bank event in Fairfax, Okla. years ago, a town without a stop light. Her food and presentation were as beautiful and tasty as if she were preparing it for the governor.
Jody never missed stopping by to love on my folks at the OSU football games. While in Tulsa, I always tried to locate Jody`s current restaurant. Actually, not just for her excellent food but for a bear hug and a dose of laughter.
Jody was a good friend. My family and I will miss her very much.
Love,
Markay

I met Jody in the late 50's at Ramsey Junior High School. We remained great friends all the years through High School. Her precious mother, Veda Belle, and my mom Kathleen were best friends many years. I was sorry I never really knew where Jody was after that. I would have loved to re-connect. What a special gal she was! I have great memories of her!

Jody hired me when I was 19 yrs old at the Ramekin. At the time I had no intentions of making it a career. But, Jody convinced me to enroll in the Culinary Arts Program she was teaching, and the rest as they say is history. She was a tough but patient teacher and never "stingy" with her knowledge (or her recipes). We had a lot of fun working the Mayfest booth but I still don't care if I ever see another "Strawberry Crepe'"! I left the restaurant business several years ago, but I found the skills of leadership, hard work and taking pride in ones work served me well no matter what career path I chose. For that I am eternally grateful to Jody and for paving the way for so many other women.
My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

How does one begin to describe the affect that Jody Walls had on those she knew. I met Jody at the Razor Clam soon after I arrived in Tulsa in 1973 . What a package. Strong in every regard perhaps covers Jody. When we opened the Ramekin together I knew she was the boss regardless of what Miller Williams and I thought we were. The great thing about Jody is that she would let you think you were in charge...but it was her. Jody had my back more times than I can count. Jody will be greatly missed and loved by all that knew her. I feel privileged to be one of many that loved her dearly.

I was Jody's "partner in crime" at Northside High in band. Actually, our capers started in grade school when we crawled out the restroom window after they had locked us in the building to do scrapbooks for a Girl Scout badge. Will miss you, Jody, but we had great times together!

I am so thankful to have seen Jody just two weeks ago. She was such a wonderful, generous and big hearted friend and her laughter, smile and wicked sense of humor will be missed by all of us who knew and loved her. I don't think she realized what a huge impact she had on her Theta sisters and how much we all loved her!
