Margaret Witter Obituary

WITTER - Margarett Gale (Magi), left this earth for a better place on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Magi was born in Tulsa, OK on January 29, 1946 and leaves behind: 3 children, Stacey Witter, 42, and wife, Traci of Mustang, Danni Witter Reschly, 35, and husband, Shawn of Dewey and Jackie Witter, 34, of Tulsa and 9 grandchildren: Venessa, Jordan, Cale, and Kiki all of Mustang. Ryan, Justice, Caysen, Mary Grace, and Danilayne, all of Dewey. Magi was expecting her first great-grandchild in March. Magi also leaves behind: 2 sisters, Mary Goff and husband, Herbert of Strang, OK and Ruth Short of Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews and too many friends to count. Magi worked as a waitress as a young woman, a trade she insisted everyone should have to perform to appreciate what it meant to earn their pay. Magi later earned her GED and cosmetology degree. She entered the micro-fiche processing industry in 1988 working for Zytron in Tulsa. In 1995 Magi joined the Data Operations Department at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa and later reached her proudest professional achievement being promoted to Manager of Data Center Operations, in spite of her lack of formal education. Magi was on the board of directors for the Rentiesville Blues Festival. Magi was known as a relentless volunteer, involved in the United Way, Habitat For Humanity and many holiday sponsor programs for poor families, donating time and money even when she didn't have either. Magi lived her life to the fullest loving her family and friends, her blues and other music. Her love extended well beyond any race, color or religion, never hesitating to extend her arms to anyone and tell them she loved them. Magi loved to travel with friends often being referred to as "The Wind". And to anyone who knew her, in loving memory, we will always remember her when we feel The Breeze. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2008 at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel. 622-1155. Margaret Gale (Magi) Witter VIEW AND SIGN THE ONLINE GUEST BOOK: www.legacy.com/tulsaworld

Moma; I just want to let you know how very much I miss you and the wonderful light in your eyes. The world is not as good of a place without you, but the people on this page are a testiment to what a wonderful impact you had on that world.

I have had Maggie and her family on my mind since I got the call last week. I just feel so helpless. I want to ease your pain somehow and I know I can’t. Stacey, I am so very sorry. I know the grief that goes your mind and soul. I feel for you tremendously. Maggie will be missed this year at my party as she was always one of my favorite people. She was a straight up gal. She was always so friendly and accepting to all of us that knew her. Great job to the entire family in a very difficult time! I’m having a hard time just writing this short email trying to express my gut wrenching feelings for you guys.
