Mary Ellen (Miller) Stafford was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to parents, Clifford James and Mildred Elsie (Welch) Miller on Monday, November 1, 1948. She departed this life peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 76 years of age.

Mary was one of five children growing up in Broken Arrow back when days were simpler and everyone knew everyone. She met her husband Donald J. Stafford in Broken Arrow and soon was married in a small chapel in Vinita, Oklahoma on Tuesday, July 23, 1963. Mary was a loving wife and a doting mother of two children. Gardening and cooking were among her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed the occasional casino outing to try her luck at the poker tables. Mary loved nothing more than spending quality time with family and friends and especially enjoyed getting to spoil her grandchildren.

She is survived by: Children, Cassandra and husband Daniel Garcia of Agawam, Massachusetts. Grandson, Caleb Stafford and great granddaughter Trinity Bowers. Siblings, Diana and Bill Woodard, Barbara Miller and Ricky and Linda Miller. Stepfather, Richard Scroggins and wife Susie.

She was proceeded in death by: Parents, Clifford James Miller and Mildred Elsie Scroggins; Husband, Don Stafford; Son, Michial Stafford; Brother, Freddy Miller.
