Dr. Michelle Diane O'Meara

Dr. Michelle Diane O'Meara, 64, died Thursday, August 12, 2021.

She was born February 16, 1957 in Oklahoma City to John and Margaret O'Meara (née Kanaly). She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack O'Meara; and sisters, Maggie Miller and Kathleen Marks.

She is survived by her children, Jack Bent (Mandy), Joey Bent, and Bridget Rooney; grandchildren, Isaac Bent and Creedence Bent; sisters, Patricia Schmidt (Clarence 1936-2021) and Rita Mullins (Dale); and many nieces and nephews.

Michelle graduated from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in 1975. She went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, receiving her Bachelor of Science in 1980 and her Master of Science in Nutrition in 1988. Michelle always wanted to do more to help her patients. At the age of 42, she began her journey to become a Family Medicine Physician at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Michelle was full of life and loved to have fun. She was known for her outgoing spirit, dedication to her patients, and love for her friends and family. She was most proud to be "Mimi" to her two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 24th, at 3:00 pm at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel - 1402 S. Boulder Avenue in Tulsa.

I am so sad to just be reading this. She was my all time favorite doctor. I followed her practice from Jenks to Coweta to BA before she went to Owasso. She had a wonderful bedside manner, spoke highly of her children and grand children. She was proud of them all. I will miss her.
