Paul Bisdorf Obituary

Paul Lee Bisdorf, Jr.

Paul Lee Bisdorf Jr. passed away unexpectedly November 7, 2021.

Paul was born on June 16, 1952 in Chicago to the late Paul and Rita Bisdorf. As a young college student, Paul and the family moved to Broken Arrow, and Paul attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. After college, he joined the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he had a successful career for more than 40 years.

As a true Chicago native, one of Paul's proudest Chicago moments was when his beloved Chicago Cubs won the World Series in 2016. He and his father attended numerous games at Wrigley Field.

Paul's life priorities were family, church and community which he truly lived every day of his life. He was a devout Catholic and member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Broken Arrow where he served as a lector, Eucharistic Minister and participated in numerous church ministries. He was a paramedic for 39 years; a 25-year Broken Arrow Police Reserve Officer; member of the Broken Arrow Emergency Management Office; involved in numerous search and rescue activities throughout his life as a leader and instructor; and was a longtime ham radio operator (AE5PB) and instructor. Paul will be deeply missed by many.

A Rosary will be held Friday, November 12, at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m., both at St. Anne Catholic Church in Broken Arrow. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Paul is survived by his wife, Linda Bisdorf; sister, Bonnie Quirke and husband, Jim; nieces, Kate, Missy and Meghan; nephews, Jim, Brian and Tim; 10 great nieces and nephews; and numerous close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dell Bisdorf.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the church Paul loved so much, St. Anne Catholic Church, 301 S. 9th St., Broken Arrow, OK 74012.

I am so sorry to hear of Paul's death. He is one of my oldest friends from Broken Arrow. He was my Sunday school instructor for over a year when I was still in high school. He was also my role model and helped solidify my desire to join the Army as an Airborne Ranger. He and I shared unique experiences to include replacing the strikers on the bell tower of St. Annes Church. I will truly miss this one of a kind man.
