Devero, Richard "Dick" Thomas

March 3, 1931 - October 14, 2024

Richard Thomas "Dick" Devero passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024. Dick was born on March 3, 1931, in Tulsa to Leo and Ruth (Garner) Devero. He graduated from Will Rogers High School and Oklahoma A&M. He married his high school sweetheart Carroll "Teddy" Hopper in 1954, celebrating their 70th anniversary earlier this year. In 1969, Dick and Teddy moved to Oklahoma City where he started Continental Water Systems of Oklahoma.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lawrence Devero and nephew Greg Devero. He is survived by his wife Teddy, Oklahoma City; daughter Linda and husband Hershel Meadows, Fort Worth, TX, and John Devero, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren: Kristin, and husband Bailey McGuire, Fort Worth, TX, and Alan and Garner Devero, Oklahoma City; two great grandchildren: Emma and Reeves McGuire; his sister Jeannie Alaback, Tulsa, OK, and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2024, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Oklahoma City. Burial at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities or Integris Hospice House.
