Robert Allan Flynn, beloved resident of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in Scottsdale, Arizona, on March 28, 2025, at the age of 74.
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 3, 1950, Robert and his four brothers were raised by loving parents, Huey and Dewell, in Tulsa, and then Claremore, where he graduated from high school in 1968. He married the love of his life, Janet van Dam Flynn, in 1971.
Robert will be remembered for his charisma, his warm smile, and his ability to make everyone he met feel important and cared for. He was passionate about helping others and built a successful law practice in Tulsa, representing injured workers for more than 30 years. He called his clients his friends and those who saw him at work can attest that he fought fiercely and deftly on his clients' behalf.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Janet; his children, Stacie, Michael and his wife, Aliya, Stephanie, and Matthew; his granddaughter, Arya Flynn McShane; his sibling(s), Michael, Jack, and William; and many other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Huey and Dewell, and his older brother, Larry.
An event to celebrate Robert's life will be held on Friday, April 4th, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Overture Kierland in Scottsdale, Arizona, and another event or service will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at a date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made in Robert's memory to Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa, an organization near to his heart.
Robert would ask that everyone enjoy "another day in paradise, "let no one steal your peace" continually ask yourselves, "what would love do?"

Robert was a dear dear friend. We both developed spiritually together and shared our experiences. He was someone I looked up to, and learned a great deal about from his life experiences. To me, Robert's best trait was his heart. His empathy for human suffering was something this world will miss. Carry on, Brother and I hope to see you some day on the other side. You deserve to rest.

What can I say? Bobby was my cousin and a great friend to me and my family. Together with our cousin Paul D we made such memories growing up . He was a good man who raised a wonderful family and always provided.I´ve truly always admired him. His devotion and loyalty to Janet and the kids along with a commitment for working hard and doing the right thing will always be remembered.
