Yeo, Sandra Lethem

February 1, 1940 - January 16, 2025

Sandra was born in Rocky Mount, NC to Wilma Lethem and Jack Yeo.

She was a Published Author and an Established Artist. She grew up in Kansas City, MO.

Where she studied at the KC Art Institute. She moved to Tulsa, OK where her career in marketing included work with many of Tulsa's most influential developers. In her career journey she was the promotions director of both the Farm Shopping Center and Utica Square. She was the co-owner of several of Tulsa's most successful restaurants. She retired as senior vice president of Senior Star Living in 2005 and moved with her husband, Vernon Lee, to Dallas where she pursued her writing and painting.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband and soulmate, Vernon Lee. She is also survived by Two of her 4 Children; Leslie Johnson {Ken} of Tulsa, OK, Jeff Nelson {Becky}of Lenexa KS, and step children Katie and Chip Lee {Kelly Jo}. She was the loving Gran Gran of TJ Turner {Larissa}, Hannah Lareau of Tulsa and Dayton and Ben Nelson of Lenexa. Leaving this world before Sandra were her parents, infant son, Jay Bruce Nelson, daughter and friend Jill Thomas, and stepdad, Don Williams.

Family was the most important thing in Sandra's life. She was enormously proud of her children and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her marriage to Vernon brough her the greatest happiness she had ever known, Her larger family includes sisters Margo McDonald and husband Don and Marli Yeo and husband Dave Brown of Overland Park, KS. She is also survived by a family clan of 70 some aunts, Uncles and cousins who will remember her as the glue that held the enormous Lethem Reunions together for over 50 years.

Sandra leaves many longtime friends. Her out-going personality made everyone around her feel good. She often said that she had been born under a lucky star. Her friendship with her own mother, who was a children's author was instrumental in shaping her own positive outlook on life and her career in writing.

She was a member of the Plano First United Methodist Church, the Richardson Civic Artist's Association, and a participant in over twenty art shows covering over four states. She was also an avid Nasa and Space enthusiast and follower.

Her presence on this earth will be greatly missed by many. Until we meet again...

She was a lifelong supporter of the SPCA and the family requests that in Lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the SPCA of Tulsa, OK.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Tulsa in the spring. Please contact family members for more information.
