Terrence Quinn Obituary
TTerrence Patrick ""Pat"" Quinn III, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 12, 2025.
Pat was born on November 14, 1954, the oldest child of Juanita and Terry Quinn. Pat was a wonderful big brother to Camille, Mary, and Mike. The four remained close friends throughout their lives. Pat was a lifelong parishioner at Christ the King Catholic Church, where he received all his sacraments. He attended Marquette Elementary and Middle School and Bishop Kelley High School where he made enduring friendships.
He was awarded a Bachelors in Business from the University of Oklahoma where he was a Sooner fan and proud member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, again making lifelong friends. He received an MBA from the University of Tulsa and was a TU fan and supporter as well. Pat may not have earned the best grades, but he sure got the most laughs throughout school.
Pat married the love of his life, Lorri Finch, on January 21, 1978. If you ever read about ""fairy tale"" romances and wondered if they are real, Pat's and Lorri's 47-year marriage proved their existence. They were best friends, confidants, and always in love.
Pat and Lorri had two daughters, Kelly Finch Quinn Warren (husband Ty and children Mason Patrick and Emma Quinn) and Katherine Elizabeth Quinn. Pat loved his family wholeheartedly and coached, volunteered, chaperoned, and was involved in any way that allowed him to spend more time with his girls. Pat was also active in the community, a member of the Committee of 100 and served as the Board Chair for Family and Children's Services.
Pat worked for Dover Corporation for nearly 20 years before returning to Tulsa where he owned and operated Quinn Chrysler Jeep with his father and brother. Pat was understanding and empathetic yet demanded excellence from his employees. Pat loved his work at Quinn Chrysler; customers were friends first, and he insisted on that guiding principle from his work family. He was so lucky to be able to work with his dad, Terry, and his brother, Mike, on a daily basis.
Pat was bigger than life, always the funniest person in the room; combining his uncommon gift of mimicry, his encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture, his extreme irreverence, and his artistically colorful language, to craft anecdotes that were factually suspect, yet outrageously entertaining. To Pat, Sooner Football was sacred, a round of golf was blissful, and an occasional hand of Black Jack with his friends was sublime. Nothing was more enjoyable for Pat than time spent with his family, particularly, if those moments included 60's TV, 70's comedies and classic Rock. His life was rich in friendships and abundant in affection. Pat's talents were great, but his greatest was his ability to love the person in front of him. When you shared a room with Pat, you were immediately enveloped with warmth and wrapped in his welcoming friendliness. Pat immediately put others at ease. If you knew Pat, you had a friend. What greater legacy can one leave than to be known as a kind, fun, warm and generous human.
In addition to his wife Lorri, and daughters Kelly and Katy, Pat is survived by his sisters Camille Quinn (Donna Rhodes), Mary Quinn Cooper (Frank Cooper, Quinn Cooper and Luke Eves, Frank Eves and Jack Cooper Eves, Hope and Teddy Cooper, Mary Ruth Cooper; and Margaret Mary Cooper) and brother Mike Quinn (Jean, Kim and Eric McKenzie, Laurel and Lyla; Kristin Quinn and Murray Verbonitz, Eloise) and Liz Quinn (Chloe); sister in law Susie Matazzoni (Mat, Tree and Ron Parodi, Sarah and Eddie Matazzoni and. Marcella). He was predeceased by his parents Juanita and Terry Quinn, and his mother and father-in-law, Peggy and Ed Finch.
The family is thankful for loving and loyal friends, especially those who regularly visited Pat, and the staff of the North Hall at Zarrow Pointe.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bishop Kelley Endowment, c/o Sister Mary Hanah Doak, 3905 S Hudson Ave 74135, in honor of the Quinn Family Endowment.
A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Saturday March 22, 2025, at 10 a.m.
