Theodore John Suess

Theodore John "T John" Suess, age 90, died October 8, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. Born to Ted and Helen Suess on October 19, 1930 in Lancaster, NY, he attended Lancaster High and the University at Buffalo before being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953, serving in the medical corps at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX.

He returned to Buffalo after transferring into the Army Reserves and worked for International Milling in Buffalo and later Minneapolis where he met Judie Bryant and they married in 1961. In 1967, they moved to Kansas City and later Wichita where T John worked for Victor Comptometer Corporation. Along the way they had four sons.

In 1974, the family moved to Tulsa and acquired Typewriter Service Company. TSCI was a family business and the whole family helped with bookkeeping, repairs, answering phones and making deliveries.

While in college, T John pledged Phi Kappa Psi which became a family tradition. All four boys, two sons-in-law and a grandson all pledged at the University of Oklahoma.

T John was predeceased by his parents and sister, Carol Brickner, and husband, Dale. He is survived by his wife, Judie; sons, John of Tulsa, Jim and wife, Debbie of Tyrone, GA, Jeff and wife, Jayne of Okarche, OK, Josh and wife, DeAnn of Sandy Springs, GA; a niece; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The funeral will be at Saint Dunstan's Episcopal in Tulsa on Saturday, October 23, at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Saint Dunstan's at www.stduntulsa.org. Links to watch the service online can be found on the church calendar.
