Curry, Timothy Ryan

September 17, 1948 - April 23, 2024

Timothy Ryan Curry went to be with his Lord on April 23, 2024, at age 75 from a lengthy illness. Tim (Timbo) was born September 17, 1948, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa Oklahoma, to Dempsey Hearn Curry and Imogene Marguerite (Price) Curry. He married the love of his life Carla Sue Scott on July 21, 2001. Tim graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he lettered in baseball. He earned a BS degree in Journalism from OSU Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972. He went on to work at American Airlines in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 35 years, retiring in 2008 as a financial analyst.  He and Carla moved to Gran Tara on Grand Lake of the Cherokees where he was treasurer on the GTPOA for 11 years. Tim's interests were golf, fishing, cooking, reading, boating, investing, gardening, travel, all sports and OSU athletics.  Tim is survived by his wife Carla, brother Michael Robert Curry, bonus daughter Maranda Sue Trimm & husband John, stepson Jackie Lee Scott II & wife Vanessa, stepson James Tyler Scott, sister-in-law Janet Passmore & her husband Robert, niece Jill Huddle,  nephew Lee Passmore, 3 grandkids and 4 great grandkids. Tim will be remembered by his friends and family for his famous "one-liners", fun loving nature and warm smile.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 18, 2024 at  Cleora Community Church, 451154 East 295 Road, Cleora, Oklahoma 74331.
