Charles Findley Obituary

ELROD Charles Richard Findley, age 45, of Elrod, died Jan. 29, 2011, at home. A memorial service will be 6 p.m. tonight at Buhl Baptist Church with Glen Kennedy officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Billie; a daughter, Laura Sanders (Brian); sons, Richard Blake Findley (Niki) and Heath Dailey (Lindsay); sisters, Cindy Burnett, Tina Moore, and Margaret Reidenbach (Mark); brothers, Tony Findley, Mike Middleton, Jr. (Brooke), and Jonathan Redding; parents, James and Shirley Findley and Mike, Sr. and Chrissie Middleton; grandchildren, Kurstein Dailey, Brody Dailey, and Cade and Lydia Kate Sanders; and his mother-in-law, Joyce Lyles.

Charles was a master craftsman who could fix anything. He loved riding his Harley. He loved to watch it rain because “it washed the old things away, and the new things would come!”

Honorary pallbearers are the employees of Mills Electric.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tuscaloosa Teachers Credit Union, c/o Billie Denise Findley.
