Ebbie Ray Wilson

VERNON Ebbie Ray Wilson age 92 died Saturday, April 03, 2010 at Generations of Vernon in Vernon, Ala. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arlis Barksdale and Dr. Albert Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill Cemetery in Vernon Ala. with Memorial Funeral Home of Columbus, Miss. directing.

Mrs. Wilson was born on Monday, June 2, 1917 in Vernon, Ala. to the late Jackson Z. and Molly Elizabeth Taggart Gunnels. She was a member at East End Baptist Church and the Maydelle Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker, a child care provider and was a house parent from 1969 til 1971 at Palmer Home for Children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Terrell W, "T.W." Wilson, daughter, Barba Wilson, grandson, C.A. Sinunons Ill, her brothers Casper, Ceburn, Vader, Ross, and, J.B. Gunnels, and her sisters, Audie Mae Hudson, Lola Gray Barksdale, and Minerva Stapp,

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Parrott (Eddie), Tuscaloosa, Ala., Sandra Hornsby (Bill) of Columbus, Miss., and Linda Simmons (Bubba), Caledonia, Miss.; four grandchildren, Beth Parrott (Jerry Cannon), Scott Parrott (Jill), Jennifer Johns (Trevor), and Charlene Cooke (Marsh); three great-grandchildren, T.J. Johns, Andrew Johns, and Gibson Cooke.

The pallbearers will be Trevor Johns, Bubba Simmons, Scott Parrott, Bobby Hudson, Don Gunnels, and Marsh Cooke

The honorary pallbearers are the staff of Generations Care Center of Vernon, Tommy and Lanola Davis, Richard and Wendy Earn, members of the Maydelle Sunday School Class, Ginger Brotherson-Corbell, and Chuck Hester.
