James Hubbert Obituary

FAYETTE – James Ethel Hubbert, age 92, of Fayette, died December 5, 2016, at home. Services will be 1 p.m. today, December 7, 2016, at Nelson Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Cargile officiating. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens with Nelson Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vadus Hubbert; parents, James and Annie Little; sister, Jewell Sullivan; and brother, Burnice Little.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane Hubbert Newman (Skip); one grandson, Trey Newman (fiancé, Casey Lee); two step granddaughters, Dusti Monk (Thomas) and Angie Scruggs (Robby); and four step great-grandchildren, Sela and Mason Monk and Emmy and Sadie Scruggs.
She was born and raised in Fayette, Ala. She was born on August 17, 1924 to James Newton and Annie Wiggins Little. She married Vadus Hubbert on November 22, 1945 and they had one child, Jane Hubbert Newman.
She was a dedicated member of Chapel Hill Pisgah Church in Fayette and taught children's Sunday school for 33 years with a deep love for the children she taught. She will be remembered for her strong Christian life which she lived daily by example, her kind loving and gentle manner, her love of God's beautiful creation and ever present beautiful smile.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Monk, Tom Hubbert, Henry Bonner, Matthew Stanley, Jason Kimbrell and Doug Channell.
Honorary pallbearers are her caregivers, Gerri, Frances, Eulene, Pat, Cindy, Doris, Delana and Christy and Asera Hospice nurses, Taylor, Jacklyn, Tosha and JJ.

Yr Mom was a wonderful lady she was so sweet we painted her house and we visit her a lots when we live in Fayette She love are son Mark Mrs.Hubbbert love her grandson so much. We are so sorry for yr lost.
