Mildred Nichols Obituary

BIRMINGHAM Mildred Marie Nichols, age 75, of Birmingham, formerly of Linden, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007, at Ashton Gables Assisted Living in Birmingham. Services will be 11 a.m. today, July 18, 2007, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden with Rev. Donald Cannon and Rev. Kenny Malone officiating. Burial will follow in Linden Memorial Park with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was born December 6, 1931, in Hugo, Ala. She worked as an executive secretary, and she was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Linden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Melvin Nichols, parents, Charles and Myrtle B. Cannon, and sisters, Peggy Ann Cannon and Mary Ethel Ratliff.

She is survived by her daughters, Tina (Bryan) Corr of Oneonta, Ala. and Carol Ann Turner of Linden, Ala.; son, Charles Michael Nichols of West Point, Miss.; sisters, Nell Q. (Arthur) Noland of Sweet Water, Ala. and Cheryl Ann (Kenny) Malone of Champion Gate, Fla.; brothers, Charles Earl (Wynette) Cannon of Prattville, Ala., Fred Davis (Susan) Cannon of Dothan, Ala., Bobby James Cannon of Linden, Ala., Ronald (Felecia) Cannon of Chapin, S.C. and Donald (Janet) Cannon of Johnston City, Ill.; grandchildren, Natalie Nichols, Rebecca Zambrano, Christina Turner, Lauren Corr, Michael Nichols, Kelly Corr and Bryan Allen Corr, Jr.; and great grandchild, Riley Zambrano.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice Services, 2204 Lakeshore Drive, Suite 160, Homewood, AL 35209 (checks payable to Hospice Christian Foundation), or to Linden Baptist Church Building Fund or Forest Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
