Dear Susan and Mrs. Mayer,
I choke on words in my feeble attempt to share what I think about this man--no, GENTLEMAN--he inspired me and believed in me and encouraged me and loved with a heart of gold. he had such passion, yet was so gentle and humorous. my life is richer, more deep for knowing Dr. Morrris Mayer and I will forever be grateful that he passed my way and stopped to care. I love your family and hold you in my heart during this difficult time. with love, dale bounds

Judy, I'll be in touch soon. I attended the reception today at
Alston Hall but the line was too long for me to stand on gimpy feet to see you there. My thoughts are with you. I admired Morris and counted him as a friend and UA colleague.

Morris Mayer was a wonderful friend and mentor to countless people. I am so fortunate that I was one of those. He leaves an incredible legacy that is all the more impressive because he was first and foremost a humble servant, not someone who sought attention and glory. I will always remember his wisdom and inspiration.
