David Miller Obituary

Miller, David Earl 6/20/1955 - 8/8/2015 Scottville, MI David Earl Miller, age 60, died suddenly in Lake Erie while boating on August 8, 2015 with his wife and two sons. He was born in Flint, MI on June 20, 1955 to the late Donald and Eileen Miller. Loving husband, father, and mentor, Served in the US Army. David had a gift to make people laugh; there was never a dull moment. He was always positive and focused on helping others. David loved to travel with his travel agent wife to the Caribbean. He was a man of many hats. He had worked with the Hadley Psychiatric Unit, the Lighthouse Professional Clinic and as a Corrections Officer, Substance Abuse Counselor, Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, a Direct Care Social Worker, Motivational Speaker, Life Coach. After retiring from counseling, he founded DM Seminars and traveled to 200 cities in 10 states conducting free Wellness Seminars to help people lose weight and stop smoking with hypnotherapy, often called "Hypnotic Dave". He lived true to his mantra "Live Healthy and Laugh Often". Survived by his wife Alice Tardani Miller, sons David M (Carly) Miller, Jeffrey J Miller, Nickolas Tardani. Sisters Susan (Kevin) Kipp, Janet (Dennis) Hargraves, Brothers Donald A Miller, Steven D Miller. In leiu of flowers contributions can be made to the David Earl Miller Memorial Fund at www.youcaring.com A Celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.
