Ardys Yvonne HJERPE

Of Crosslake, MN Ardie, 91, passed away October 29, 2023, at Johanna Shores. She was a long-time resident of Saint Paul, and in later years, wintered at Waverly Gardens. Ardie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia; son, Bruce (JulieAnne); grandchildren, Josef (Chloe), Anna (Carl) Graefe; cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; brothers, Harlow, and Lewon; in-laws and cousins. Memorial Service will be held at Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11:00 with visitation at 10:00, and lunch following the service. Inurnment will be at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetary. Ardie was born on May 7, 1932, in Granite Falls, and grew up on her parents' family farm in rural Cottonwood. She graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1950. Ardie completed her nursing training in 1953 from Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She married Roger Hjerpe in 1955, and they settled in St. Paul, where they raised their family. Ardie worked as a Registered Nurse in various roles and medical settings, until she left her nursing career to retire in Crosslake. Ardie was a member of Crosslake Lutheran Church, active in golf league, and enjoyed playing duplicate bridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Lung Association, Crosslake Lutheran Church, or Central Lutheran Church.
