To Alice, Jim and John, on behalf of Cyndy and I please accept our sincerest condolences on the loss of Bruce. I am grateful to have known Bruce MacDonald. He was a terrific fellow and an inspiration for all in the Minnesota Scottish community. As you know, Bruce was instrumental in building the Clan Donald Minnesota organization, and the MCSC (Minnesota Coalition of Scottish Clans). His contributions were significant. Our sympathies and thoughts are with each of you.

Bruce was a terrific guy and had real personality. He was a big figure in our Scottish American community and the Clan Donald organization. For me, he was one of the big reasons I became deeply involved in my heritage and in service to the community and organizations mentioned above. His passion, scholarship, and his genuine caring for those around him inspired us all. My life was changed in a wonderful way in significant part due to the example he set and the influence he had upon me to become deeply involved with my heritage. Doing so resulted in some of the greatest experiences of my life, including our wedding in Scotland. Thanks you so much, Bruce. Our most heartfelt condolences to Alice, James, and John during this tragic moment in their lives.........Scott and Bobbi McKechnie

Dear Alice,so sorry for your loss. I have so many warm memories of Bruce at M.C.S.C.
At the Macalester Fair, and the fun Celadih's at the Lodge by the Lake, hosted by Rod MacRay. Bruce was always so kind to me, and I remember his wonderful laugh, Sharing jokes, or even laughing at mine, a joy to be around. I really appreciated his support when I became the 1st woman President of M.C.S.C. He made my job easier for his many kindnesses, and gentle warmth. So sorry can't be there live over 100 miles away, travel is hard for me.
In my thoughts and prayers to you and your family Alice.
