Fifty years ago I had an interview for a teaching position. Dr. Gerber began the session by saying there had been many applicants for the position and something unusual in my work experience caught his eye, one reason for my being considered. I am grateful for getting the job, spending 30 years in the community college system, and now almost 20 years retired. He was a skilled administrator and a a wonderful person. I am sorry for your loss.

Carl and Jacquelyn were neighbors of ours on Glen Oaks. And, of course, we knew he was President of Lakewood College, later Century College. What a fine man. Our prayers and thoughts are with your family. We are sorry for your loss.
