Sorry to hear about Carl. I am in the Police Band and always enjoyed it when Carl marched with us and played the bells (many years ago!). It added so much to the band's sound. RIP

On behalf of the Granberg family, I wish to express our deepest sympathys to all of you on the passing of Carl.
My father was Carl's partner on the St. Paul Police Dept. for many years. I remember meeting Carl very early on in my life, and have numerous fond and funny memories of him.

I am sad to see the passing of Carl Hovey Jr. I have many great memories of boating on the St. Croix with him and Gary when I was a kid growing up on the eastside. I never listen to a Jim Reeves recording without thinking about him. There are too many good memories to share here. My deepest sympathy to Gary and all who knew and loved him.
