Charles R. CHISM

Age 76 was reunited with his parents and sisters, Cathy Downs and Mary Jo Gosselin; and grandson, Zachary Nusman on June 21, 2021 after passing away peacefully at home. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Fruetel; daughter, Jami Ludford; sister, Jackie Quant; mother-in-law, Delores Dietel; brothers-in-law, Gerald Gosselin, Gordon and Dale (Peggy) Dietel; and a host of nieces, nephews and their families. Chuck called West 7th Street his home as a child and graduated from Hill-Murray and attended U of M before enlisting in the Army. While in the Army, he was stationed in Germany before volunteering for Vietnam where he served three tours. While there, he received numerous medals, including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. After working as an Iron Worker for many years, his passion for golf led him to become a Golf Professional specializing in teaching. A Celebration of Life will be held 2pm Saturday, July 17 at O'HALLORAN & MURPHY, 575 Snelling Ave. S., St. Paul, with visitation beginning at 1pm until time of the service. Interment with military honors will be held 1:30pm Thursday, August 12 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, please meet at Assembly Area #4 at 1:15pm.
