Charles "Chuck" HOLMES

1929 - 2018

Died February 8, 2018 at age 91 surrounded by his family. Born in Minneapolis, he was Cadet Colonel of his graduating class at St Thomas Military Academy. He served in the US Navy for the last year and a half of World War II and graduated from MIT with a degree in management science in 1949. He spent his career with Pepsi and Coke and retired as Vice President of Coca-Cola International in Atlanta, Georgia in 1988. In Atlanta, he was a member of Buckhead Rotary, the Finance Committee of the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta and the Board of the Georgia Chamber Players. He and his wife Pat moved to Seattle, WA in 2002. He served on the Board of Directors of the Seattle Chamber Music Society for 5 years and joined the Seattle 4 Rotary Club where he served on their International Committee for many years. He was a devoted parishioner of St. James Cathedral. Chuck is survived by Pat, his wife of 62 years, three daughters: Paula Holmes in Seattle, Carol Redfield (Chris) in California, and Sandra Rogers (Shef) in New Zealand, and six grandchildren: Matthew, Emily and Margaret Redfield and Julia, Laura, and Alec Rogers.
