To the Foss Family,
Dan was a regular guest at our restaurant before we became neighbors at the Reflections Condo. We often took the same train to/from work.
He was such a genuine, warm & positive individual, we'll miss him dearly.

I was so shocked and sadden to hear about Dan's passing as I had a good time talking with him few days prior. He was such an amazing, bright & happy person, never would anyone think he has so many challenges in his life with his health issues. When he sees me he always stopped and asked how I'm doing and what's new - never was just "hi" and "bye" wave. I'll really miss seeing him at Thrivent - but he is in much better place, an extra Angel in heaven.

My condolences to you, Chris, and your family. Dan was a wonderful man. I have many fond memories of talking with him about literary theory and other matters less academic. I learned much from him about alternative music--he had excellent taste. He shall be missed.

To the Foss Family, Our deepest sympathies to you. We both knew Dan from working with him at Thrivent and from his work on the blood drive committee at Thrivent. He was an amazing person - with all of the challenges in his life, he still was able to smile and laugh - and what a great laugh he had. He was a wonderful guy and we are better for having known him.

Dan was my neighbor at the Reflections Condos where we both lived for several years. I last spoke to Dan on Saturday afternoon May 1, 2010 as we often rode the elevator together.
Dan was very sincere in every word he spoke and always treated me like I was something new. I will miss him.

Mrs. Foss,
You are in my thoughts since learning of Dan's death. Your heart must be heavy. Please know my sympathy and my prayers go out to you and your family for peace and that warm memories of Dan will comfort you now and always.
Dan worked for me when first coming to work at LB (now Thrivent) in what was then the Microfiche Dept. I will ever remember Dan's constant deep respect and gratefulness for his job. I will ever remember how Dan resolutely faced and conquered a then steep learning curve and others learning challenges that came about for us all. Dan made important on-going contributions to goals of the department and the company.
I will ever remember the love with which he spoke of you, his dad and brothers and sister-in-law. I remember too his enjoyment of the Twins baseball team and his excitment when his first nephew was born - and was named Kirby.
I remember meeting you Mrs. Foss the times you visited Dan at work. It was evident that much of Dan's 'can-do, will-do spirit' came from you and from the influence of your husband. I recall Dan's grief for you especially when his dad, your husband died.
Dan will be missed. Dan will be remembered.

Mrs. Foss, I was shocked & saddened at the news of Dan’s death. I had the wonderful opportunity to have Dan be a part of my team at LB/Thrivent. I remember Dan being cheerful, dependable, service dedicated and enjoyed finding ways to improve our service metrics for our customers. Dan loved a good challenge which also explains his determination of not letting the series of health issues get him down as he was going to be a survivor! Even though I haven’t worked for Thrivent in years, I had the pleasure of seeing Dan’s smiling face time to time DT in the skyways during my lunch hour. May the wonderful memories of your son warm your heart and know that he will be missed by many.
