I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I wrestled Dave my senior year at Forest Lake HS. My father was Dave's wrestling coach (Richard Larson) whom passed November 4th. Dave was a good athlete and a great representative for Johnson. God bless your family.

I was so saddened to hear of Davids passing. I remember Dave well from school. Mostly from Frost Lake. I was a new student at the school in the fifth grade and I remember he would sit by me in classes and lunch. He would pull my hair until I finally let my EastSide Italian girl shine through one day and told him that if he didnt stop pulling my hair I was gonna punch him in the face. Well from that day, we were friends. He was such a smart, funny guy and alays had something to say or to contribute to a conversation. Gods many blessing to his family and friends. Dave you are and will be missed. One day, when we meet again, I might just let ya pull my hair.

I met Dave quite some time ago and had not talked to him in a long time, so this comes as a shock to me. I will remember him as an intelligent, creative and sharp witted guy who was taken from this life much to soon. May he rest in eternal peace. Shannon Bahr

I am deeply sorry to hear about Dave. I used to play tennis with Dave often.
He was a very nice tennis player and a warm-hearted person as many people know.
May your heart and soul find peace and comfort.

We will miss you David. I so much enjoyed our conversations about tennis and the financial services business which we both had in common. Also, the effort you put into arranging matches on Sunday afternoons was terrific! We lost a good friend and way too soon.

I was fortunate enough to visit him in the last month or so. It was hard to see him battle cancer but he had his sense of humor and sharp mind until the end. That part was remarkable and nice to see. He told me he even wrote some business in his last weeks on this planet. Hah!

Now… my friend… you can play tennis all the time and be assisted with angel wings on the court.

Godspeed

Ross Family,
I really enjoyed getting reacquainted with David over the last 10-11 months. His memory of our younger days was quite remarkable. However what impressed me most was his growth in his faith in Christ. David fought the good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith.

Sorry to hear the news. My thoughts and prayers to the Ross'. I have a lot of fond memories of Dave, Frost Heights Football, playing Risk in the basement, and driving to Taylors Falls in the gold Cutlass. I last say Dave a couple of years ago at Barnes & Noble for chess night. He was waiting to play, so we got a chance to relive some great times!

To the Ross family,

It's hard to comprehend the loss you must feel. Dave lived a vibrant life full of action. I will always remember being welcomed into your home to workout with Dave. Thank you for your hospitality. Dave lives on in so many of my Minnesota memories. He constantly challenged me and for that I will always be grateful.

As my best friend during my youth, David provided more joy and laughter than anyone could know. His genius for mischief was well known and still impresses my wife and friends. No one could make me laugh and enjoy life like he could. Thanks to him, I can lighten anyone's day by sharing tales of our early years.

Perhaps not as well known was David's ability to challenge contemporary philosophy backed by his voracious appetite for reading and knowledge. He could easily separate true wisdom from hollow rhetoric despite an overwhelming dose of the half truths passing as intelligence back then. His thoughts and reasoning helped lay the foundation of my conservative principles today and made me a better man.
