Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family. We are so very sorry for your loss. Dave will be missed very much. He always had his coffee in hand and always talked about chocolate chip cookies & donuts! And 9 times out of 10, if you went to use the computor at work, it was still on the latest golf scores. I don't think we ever seen him cranky . He was always pleasant and good natured. When we teased him, he gave back as good as he got!He was my substitute kindergarten driver and it left me with a good feeling knowing he was taking care of my kids and that they were in good hands. Dave was a great guy and he will be missed very much.

Dear Kathy and Family,
Dave will be deeply missed by me personally and by many people at the golf course. Dave's smiling face, kindness, and sense of humor always brought a smile to OUR faces! Whether it was checking on the Fantasy Golf standings or looking for a $5 bet on a couple of no name golfers that week, we always enjoyed him. I will miss those times, but will find comfort in those memories as well.

On Oct. 5 this year we lost our grandson Carter. Our friend Corky was waiting for Carter to take care of him. Maybe you can help Corky out and give him a hand with our grandbaby. We miss not being able to hold and play with our little guy. Please take care of him for us. Thanks!

My thoughts and prayers are with Kathy and the family. I had the pleasure of knowing Dave for three unforgettable years at the CLGC. Dave holds a very special place in my heart, as we shared many laughs at the course! He had a passion for the game of golf, but he really loved his family. We knew every story about his grandkids! I'll never forget each morning as he would pass through the parking lot with his bus, sometimes just to honk the horn, and others, to poke his head in the door just to say hi! (coffee mug in hand of course) Dave will be greatly missed by all. "Hey Wendy's, I'll play ya for a buck!"

Kathy and family, You all are in my thoughts and prayers. The lord took him for a reason, we may not know why,but he was just too good for this world. Dave was an outstanding co-worker, he loved his coffee, chocolate chip cookies, and of course those donuts! He told me one day that the folks at Dee's bakery shop knew him by name and they kept 3 donuts aside for him everyday....when I think about Dave, I think of family, friendship, gentleness, and sweets, especially chocolate! We miss you Dave.

To the family of Dave Thomas,

Our deepest sympathy to all of Dave's family and friends.
We knew Dave back in the Brown & Bigelow days. Tom & Dave played ball for B & B weekdays & weekends and he was also a member of our wedding party. We haven't seen him for a few years, but every once in awhile we would run into Kathy at Tin Cups. Another good friend of ours (from the Brown & Bigelow days) Corky, passed away suddenly at the age of 57 in April of 2007. Corky also played on the ball teams with Dave, so we know that the two of them are up there swinging the bat and the golf clubs.
We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers,
Tom & Carol Mitchell
