Dr.Lechner was my dentist from the time I was 3 yrs old(1955). "Sorry" and "Open" were his favorite words when I was in his chair. He'll always be my favorite. I've yet to find find one as good or as kind. RIP Doc.

I went to Dr. Lechner in 1955 after I was discharged from the Army. The army had extracted quite a few of my teeth, and Dr. Lechner wanted to do very extensive bridgework in my mouth. He quoted me around $ 2.300 for silver and twice that for gold, and I told him I could only afford silver. He called me a few days later and told me that this would be the most extensive bridgwork that he had done, and he told me that he would do it in gold for the silver price if I would agree to accompany him to dental meetings and conventions during the next 5 years, and I did. Everyone that looked into my mouth raved about the quality and beauty of his work. I am recuperating from major stomach surgery so being that I do not drive at this time, I cannot attend the service for him. I wish that I could.

I was so blessed to be able to get to know Dr. Lechner and help him write down his amazing life story. He was such a wonderful man, with tremendous gratitude and kindness. My condolences to his family-he will be missed.
