I went to Dr. Lechner in 1955 after I was discharged from the Army. The army had extracted quite a few of my teeth, and Dr. Lechner wanted to do very extensive bridgework in my mouth. He quoted me around $ 2.300 for silver and twice that for gold, and I told him I could only afford silver. He called me a few days later and told me that this would be the most extensive bridgwork that he had done, and he told me that he would do it in gold for the silver price if I would agree to accompany...

I was so blessed to be able to get to know Dr. Lechner and help him write down his amazing life story. He was such a wonderful man, with tremendous gratitude and kindness. My condolences to his family-he will be missed.
