Dear Carol and Gene's wonderful family, I was saddened to hear about Gene passing on Christmas Eve. I lost a brother on this very special day and know that the holidays will never be the same again. But really, thinking about it, what better time to go when there is so much celebration in the air?
Please know that I was blessed when I met Gene and all of you at St. Mary's and had the opportunity of being your nurse during part of his stay. He was a very special person and was so loved by you all.
I hope his passing was peaceful and that you are all doing as well as can be expected. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you!
