George Arthur MONTPETIT

Age 69, of Saint Paul, MN, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Over the years, he owned multiple bars and restaurants, had a strong passion for finance, loved to challenge anyone to a game of pool, and always enjoyed a good political discussion with anyone willing to listen. Coming from a large family on St. Paul's East Side, George was fond of any gathering of people; he never missed a birthday party, wedding, retirement, or graduation. He was especially proud of his children and the people they have become. George is survived by his children Teresa (Brad) Arthur, Charles, and Luanna; and grand-children Jean-Paul Derrick, Alec, and Katelyn Arthur; siblings Walter, Mary, Vincent (Karen), Judith (Richard) Leitner, Michelle (Eduardo Araujo), Susan, and James (Kimberly). He is survived by former wife and friend Winnie; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Florence, sister Charlotte and brother Richard. Funeral to be held at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 1725 Kennard St., Saint Paul, MN at 11am on Friday, October 5, 2018. Visitation also at BVM at 10am. Friends and family are also invited to celebrate George at Sak's (1460 County Road E., Vadnais Heights, MN 55110) on Thursday evening at 6 pm.
