Gerald MUELLER Obituary

Age 71 Of Mahtomedi Jerry was born June 27, 1944, in Wausau, WI, to Ann and John Mueller. He was called home to be with the Lord on March 26. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Philip, and sister Lois. He is survived by his wife Cindy, two children, Erin and Ashley (Chris Keimig), and three grandchildren (soon to be four), Lillian, Charlotte, and Felix, as well as his sister Barbara Nelson. Jerry received his Masters degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. For over 25 years, Jerry was the Executive Director of the Minnesota Developmental Achievement Center Association (MnDACA), where he followed his calling, dedicating his life to creating a quality life for people with developmental disabilities. He will be remembered by his family for his generosity of spirit, his sharp wit, and the way he found humor and hope in even the most difficult of life's challenges. He will be dearly missed. Donations in his memory can be made to the Animal Humane Society, 845 Meadow Lane N, Golden Valley, MN 55422, or your local food shelf. Prior to his dedicated work in MN he was the Executive Director of the Lancaster Office of Mental Retardation in Lincoln, Nebraska. Jerry dedicated his life to supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, his family and friends. He will be missed.
