Iris,
A year has gone by and I think of you often. At work, Angel and I sometimes still look for your car in the parking lot, still expecting to see you at work. We miss you dearly and speak of you often. We know you are an Angel in Heaven now and are smiling down on us.

To Iris's Family you have my deepest sympathy. I met Iris when she worked at Minnesota Mutual we were in High School. We hung out together for years. She introduced me to my Husband. We each got married and lost contact after she moved out of Cottage Grove. I thought of her often over the years and hearing of her death just broke my heart. She was a great and fun person.

Hey, I hope you guys are doing okay, I just wanted to say that Iris was a wonderful woman, I just wish I could have spent more time with you guys other than just Christmas. I did not know you that well Iris , but you were unique! The first time I ever talked to you was because of your warm smile and those long fingernails that, I admired so much. You and Chuck used to come into the Stillwater Legion and when I was still cooking there, you always ordered just a half of the special for the Tuesday night "spaghetti" I am so sorry for the loss of a person that many knew and will never forgot. She did leave an impression that is unremarkable in life! There will never be another you, my dear! May God bless you all, during these times and remember she is still with is, just in a different place.

I worked with Iris for many years. I was and am still in Mexico over the winter months. When I heard about the passing of Iris, I just could not believe it. I feel sorrow very deep in my heart because I will never get to speak to her again, smell her great perfume as she came down the hallway to her office, always with a great smile on her face. She will be greatly missed.

We have been friends since the first day we met on the river. Chuck has brought us so much joy and one of them is Iris. She was a characture with an explanation point that was present wherever she was and now she is present in Gods house. We will never forget Iris and will be forever gratefull for knowing her. We will miss her constant flow of positive Emails, Miller times and Margaritaville. Sunsets and bonfires hold stories of friendship to be told. We will never forget and will always remeber Iris.

We do not even know the words to say right now except how deeply sorry we are that this has happened to such a wonderful family. Iris was such an inspiring, caring, loving and humorous person and we feel a huge void in our lives without her here. We can only say how thankful and blessed we are that we shared many memories with her. Our hearts go out to the family. Let this only bring you closer together and live each day as if she were by your side. God bless.

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. I remember first meeting Iris at the Oasis Cafe. I had been staring at her fingernails in awe! Iris impressed upon me her love for her family, she was very proud of the kids, and excited when the grandbabies were coming over. Iris always had the best tan on the beach too. Her laugh - very infectious. Iris will be missed so much - I am thinking she is in Heaven listening to Jimmy Buffet right now.

Dear Shawn and Charity, you probably don't remember me but I used to babysit you when you were just little kids. I was stunned to hear that Iris had passed away. I haven't seen her in years but I will always remember spending time with your family. I started out as a babysitter but Iris treated me like a very good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Iris was a very energetic and outgoing person with a bright and beautiful smile. I will always remember the good times we had years ago - the family get togethers, dinners, and special events, and one particular New Years Eve at the Mermaid!! We had a great time!! Iris knew how to have fun and get others to laugh and enjoy life. Iris will be dearly missed here, but her light will shine on in Heaven.

I am so sorry to hear about this tragic loss. She was one of the most kind hearted individuals that I know. Although, it has been a while since I have seen her, I can still see that big smile of hers and hear her laugh. I will pray for your family and hope you can find a small amount of comfort during this difficult time. It is just so unbelievable these things happen and I guess the saying is true, "Only the good die young"!

I'm "Ricki's" sister/aunt ?? I would like to tell Chuck how very sorry I am and that I'm thinking of him and to tell the family members that I don't know that my heart goes out to them as well.

I only knew Iris on the river, but those times were and always will be some of my fondest and funniest memories.

Certain events or times of the boating season, you just knew that Chuck & Iris wouldn't be far away. Ricki always knew where to find them, & I can understand why she wanted them close by.

I painted a vase for Iris that sadly never got to her. I'd like to deliver it to her family to keep in memory of her, be it Chuck, the children or grandchildren - I'd be honored if someone would like to keep it.

Iris was always so sweet, ready to take on and welcome boaters and non-boaters, as was experienced last summer. She was by far one of the nicest and most fun loving women I've met in my lifetime. I didn't have the pleasure of seeing her often, but those times that I did, will live in my heart forever.

My deepest sympathy to you all.
