Jack Auhll Obituary

Auhll, Jack 9/19/1915- 1/17/2007 Jack (John Edward) Auhll Died January 17, 2007, two days after a very happy family reunion. Jack was born in North St Paul, MN the middle son of three male children of George Sr. & Bernadine Auhll. He was pre-deceased by his older brother George and his younger brother Lee. Jack was married in 1939 for 48 years to his childhood sweetheart and only wife Signe until her death in 1987. Jack and Signe had no children. Jack attended the University of Minnesota where he trained as a pilot and became a flight instructor in 1936. Flying became the second passion in his life, after his true love, Signe. During WW II, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served as a flight instructor at Thunderbird Airfield, Phoenix, Arizona where Signe also served as a flight dispatcher. John Auhll trained American and Chinese pilots until honorably discharged in 1945. After the army, Jack moved to Carmel, California and worked as a flight instructor at the Monterey Airport. He moved to Ft Stockton, TX and set up several successful businesses. He returned to Carmel, California in the 1960's and was self-employed as an investor until his death. Nieces and nephews Ann Auhll (CA), Barbara Auhll (MA), Lori Auhll (HI), Mike Auhll (CA), Richard Auhll (CA), Robert S. Auhll (KS), Robert Auhll (CO), Sherrie Auhll (CA), and Tim Auhll (CA), Sister in Law Bertha Timpane (MN) and Niece Kim Dahlgren (MN) survived Jack. Services are scheduled in North St. Paul Minnesota at the family Gravesite on February 17. Contact Robert @ 816 516-3704 for details.
