James A. DEGNAN

1943 - 2017

Age 73, of West St. Paul 5/18/1943 – 1/7/2017 All around awesome guy with many friends and an adoring family. Husband to June (Elsmore) Degnan for 54 years. Preceded in death by parents Allan and Rosemary (Devine) Degnan, of West St Paul/Mendota Heights and in-laws Casey and June Elsmore of Eagan/Minneapolis. His parents and her parents went on to share their end years in Arizona near sister Suzanne (Degnan) Kraus. Our dad is survived by his siblings, Rosemary (Robert) Gubrud, Suzanne (Frank) Kraus, Kenneth (Debbie) Degnan and Colleen (Jim) Herrmann. His grateful daughters, Denise (Dan) Berry of Gilbert, MN and Julie Degnan-Ordner (Tim) of Farmington, MN. Grandchildren Holly Berry of Anaheim, CA, Daniel Berry of Duluth, MN and several nieces and nephews. "A kiss makes the heart young again and wipes out the tears." A gathering of Jim's many friends will be held at Gallagher's Bar and Grill on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. A private family celebration of his life will be held in the spring.
