To the family and friends of Joanne - I will always cherish the magical moments spent in the company of this special woman- in memory and still now. I was blessed to have been introduced to her at the Inn at Pine Ridge - a sanctuary of healing and discovery that she created with friends. Those morning coffee chats led to many, many years of deep friendship. We celebrated her all week while sitting on the shore at Grand Marais and it struck us that her body could no longer possibly contain all that Spirit, all that she was becoming! I will miss that smile, that gleeful giggle, that sense of wonder at the natural beauty of earth and all its creatures. I will miss her pragmatism, her compassion and wicked sense of humor, her enjoyment of, and gratitude for a life well lived. I believe there will be many more forest faeries whispering and giggling in our wood come spring! We will love you always, Joanne!

Bravo for Joanne, for a life well lived! I am glad to have had an opportunity to get to know her over the last six months. She quickly became a dear friend and I sorely miss her mischievous smile, sharp wit, and that sparkle in her eyes. Darn those fairies for carrying her away so soon! But I expect she's having fun, wherever they took her, so good for her. Safe journey, my friend!

Joanne was such a magical little sprite, I was blessed to have known her. She will be missed at our annual "P.G.I." trips but will, no doubt be there in spirit. She was truly a gift.

Joanne, I will miss you all the rest of my life. You brought such joy
and so many adventures into my days. We travelled from coast to
coast and enjoyed every McD's bathroom we were in. You opened
doors and windows time and again for me. I'm so grateful. You will
be so missed by your wonderful kids, and the rest of your family, and
all your friends. I'll love you forever. Carol Edling

Family and Friends,

Just to let you know when you arrive at the Aboretum simply let them know that you are there for the Celebration of Life for Joanne and the gate fee will be waived. Also we are asking, if you would like, to bring a carved pumpkin with a candle to send Joanne off. She loved Halloween.

Thank you for all of your support, love and care in these recent days.

Love,

Beth Ann
