While looking up grade school classmates online I found Joel's obit. I remember him at St. Pascal's to be a very quiet and gentle boy. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Ebert Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Joel. We have lived next door to him for the past 20 years in Hugo. He always had a smile on his face and a friendly hello. He was a great person and neighbor. He will truly be missed. We are truly sorry for your loss.

Prayers, hugs and peace to you all. So sorry to hear that Joel has passed away. Take comfort in knowing that he is free and now in heaven. I am sure that Sonny welcomed him (with a beer and a bump....)

I will miss Joel very much!!! It will not be the same at the Blacksmith without him! He makes the best bloody mary in town!! May he rest in peace.
