Thinking of you all, praying for angels to surround and hold you close.

April 7, 2011

John Linus Kleinbaum was born into the loving arms of his parents Mary and Jayme and his sister Ree on February 26, 1987. His life brought great joy to his grandmothers, Sally Weber and Violet Kleinbaum and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. He died on December 4, 2010 from acute pancreatitis. John loved music and Barney videos, but most of all he loved people. Those who loved John knew that he was a special angel from heaven who’s needs were different than most. While the world around him was burdened with the strifes and conflicts of a more complicated life, the desire of John’s heart was simple and pure; his only need was love. John’s worldly limitations gave others the opportunity to discover the depth of their character, commitment, patience and spirit. He gave us a precious gift with his innocent trust. Though he never said a word, he spoke straight to the heart and taught each of us the infinite joy of unconditional love.

"The Sweetest Angel That Ever Lived"

God looked around his garden
and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you,
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew you were suffering,
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never,
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered, "Peace be thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

We have never met, I am so sorry for your loss. Jesus must of had something really important that only John could do, to call him home so young. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that you will join John in heaven someday.

Jamie, Mary and Ree,
We learned what a lovable guy John was through Megan, who was always excited to spend a day with him. We loved seeing his enjoyment in the pool and hot tub too. He brought many gifts to others during his 23 years, and he was a very lucky boy to have such a loving family always around him. May your good memories of John soothe you in this time of sadness, and may the sadness be replaced by knowing he's at peace. Carol and Tom Hicks

Dear Jayme, Mary & Ree,
My heart goes out to you. I draw on the comfort of the memories and blessed times I spent with John. Swimming in the warm pool, trips to the zoo, and walks around the damn. More than anything I loved John’s gone-wild laugh when he was in his goofy moods. And I felt so special when he gave me sweet kisses on the cheek…especially when I didn’t ask for one!

John was such a special person; a joyful soul who taught us so many things about the important things in life. From one of John’s and my favorite Barney songs: ”You are special, you’re remarkable- you really are. You’re the only one like you.” John will forever have a special place in my life. His laughter and love will follow all of us.

Love,

Megan

Jamie, Mary and Rhee, John was very blessed to have such a loving family; and you three were very blessed to have such a wonderful son and brother. Anyone who met John was touched deeply by him. If anything, he taught people how to appreciate the gifts that they have in life. I know in my heart that you all loved him so completely and he loved all of you. Dante will miss John and would like to take a spaceship to heaven to visit him. We told him that John is an angel who will watch over him and your family from heaven. Love, Angelita, Wade, Dante and Valentina.
