When I met John in 1970, I immediately liked him for his intelligence, sense of humor, compassion for others, and down-to-earth way of relating to people.
Before long, I came to love him, after seeing what a wonderful husband his was to Carolyn Schwebel, my sister.
He will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched.
