Josephine SIMES Obituary

Age 98, of St. Paul Passed away on 10-28-2023. A lifelong resident of St. Paul, MN. Josephine was preceded in death by parents, Minnie and Samuel A. Gordon; husbands, Robert H. Berg and Hyman Simes; sister, Frima Bender (Kenneth); son-in-law, Allen Kurland. Survived by children, Sandra Kurland, David (partner Rose), James (Judy); grandchildren, Roberta (Jason), Tiffany (David), Ruvane (Naomi), Mendel (Sarah), Shayna (Ben), Danielle (fiancé, Sam), Brittani, Ellie; and eight great-grandchildren. Josephine attended the U of M, enjoyed, and took pride in cooking, baking for all occasions, was an avid antique collector and co-store proprietor for over 40 years, always a cheerleader for the entire family. Funeral service at 10:00 am, WEDNESDAY, November 1, 2023, at TEMPLE of AARON SYNAGOGUE, 616 S. Mississippi River Blvd., St. Paul; also available on the Temple of Aaron Live Stream page, https://www.youtube.com/@templeofaaron9753/streams SHIVA Wednesday and Thursday evening, 7:00 pm, at Temple of Aaron Synagogue.
