Liz and Family,
The crowd at the wake was obviously a testament to the fact that Josh was an amazing young man that touched many peoples lives. Liz, my heart is so sad for you. I hope you can find some comfort in the love and support from your family and friends - and in the wonderful memories of that beautiful boy of yours. My thoughts, prayers and hugs are with you and your family.

To all of Josh's family: We were so shocked to hear of Josh's death. We will forever have him in our hearts. My daughters thought he was the best ditch partner ever! We shared great times at Susan's cabin. He was so proud to be the first to teach our dog Holly how to fetch. He was such a vibrant personality. Our love to you all. Back in DC now and trying to reengage. It is hard. I watched the slideshow on the plane last night alone... what a beautiful person Josh was. My heart is broken for you two...there are no words to express how sad I am for you. But each day is a day closer we'll be with him again. All my love, Robin Anthony

Liz, Brian, Davey, Judy, Dave, Mrs. Myrtle Judkins and Family,
We are so saddened by Josh's passing. What a remarkable young man! I remember when he was born and Liz you bundling him up to bring Josh to hockey games to watch Brian play. I also, remember the fun bagging groceries at Cub with the boys high school hockey team and parents in 2007. What a great group! Hold on to those memories as we all do. Love to you all!

Although we have not seen each other in the many years since we left St. Mikes, I felt compelled to write and let you know that your family is in our prayers. Your son sounds like he accomplished so much-a remarkable kid. I am saddened by your loss and will pray that you and your family find strength that nurtures and sustains you through this time.

Liz and Craig,
How aweful to hear about Josh. Our hearts are aching right with you. No one should have to bury their child. God took him home because he needed him, but he can't take the memories you will always have.
If you need anything or if we can help with anything please let us know.

We are so saddened with the tragic loss of Josh. A few years ago, I did a case study/product development project with the students in Debbie Drommerhausen's marketing class. Josh was in the class and was such a nice, pleasant kid... We talked about hockey - and he graciously signed a poster for my 12-year old son who also played hockey and saw Josh Gunderson as a local celebrity... He was "so big" in the eyes of so many young hockey players in Stillwater. His smile was infectious and his personality memorable. I can only imagine the loss you are feeling... Hold tight to the beautiful memories and know that Josh touched so many with his enthusiasm and spirit...

Dearest Craig, Liz, Josh and Tif,
Josh and Brett met at age five on an outdoor ice rink, as did Liz and Kris. How Minnesotan. We’ve been blessed with his friendship, and thank him for letting us get to know and love Craig, Liz, Joshua and Tiffany, their family and friends. We’re honored to have those friendships.
Josh and Brett continued their way through the hockey ranks and on to high school, playing on the same line as seniors. I’ll forever have memories of Josh’s many remarkable moves on the ice. They enjoyed those years, as well as the warm summers as baseball teammates. I had the pleasure of coaching Josh in baseball, and again was able to see the many amazing plays he made -- a fun athlete to watch, and a fun-witted character to be around.
We struggle to see the positives in this. But we have, it’s easy, they are solid. They are meeting and getting to know a wonderful family, a great person and athlete in Josh. He was, is, and always will be with us. Josh knows the love he has forever from all of us.
God bless
Bruce, Kris, Nick and Brett Weber
