Karen IFFERT Obituary

Passed away January 7, 2022 At the Age of 79 It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Karen who is fondly remembered for graciousness & charity. She died grateful for all who prayed for her during her decades of illnesses. Born in Chicago, IL and raised in Nicollet MN she is known for sending numerous personalized Christian greeting cards for every occasion and being pen pals for many in four continents. Karen was a Cub Scout leader, was active in choir, and volunteered and worked at St. John Neumann (SJN) for 35 plus years. She was the #1 fan for her sons' sporting activities, a graduate of Minnesota State Mankato and an accomplished calligraphist who also enjoyed teaching art to anyone she knew. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard; sons, Blane (Renee), Dana, and Jason; and grandsons, Nicholas and Max. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Saturday, Jan. 15th at the CHURCH OF ST. JOHN NEUMANN, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd. @ Deerwood Dr. in Eagan with visitation 1 hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Memorials to St. John Neumann for the education of the youth in their faith. 651-454-9488
