Kathy served almost 30 years as a Ramsey County Master Gardener volunteer.
I had the opportunity to meet her in the summer of 2016 when she came to University of Minnesota Extension building in Maplewood, known as "the Barn" to take care of some University business for the program. I won't forget the chat we had that day. We will miss her.

The entire Collins family still misses Kathy very much. My mom deeply misses her. Kathy and my mom, Ginny Collins, were college roommates and best friends. To John, Mary Pat, Kibbe, and Mark, we will continue to be with you and still pray for your mother's soul. Love to all of you.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I was introduced to Kathleen only once, but heard her son (John) speak of her many times. I admire many things about John, and am always curious about how/where he got his character/strengths. It is clear to me that many came from his beloved mother, whom I wish I could have known better.
